DREAMFORCE 2024

Pre-event, during event, and booth videos for the biggest Salesforce conference of the year

BACKGROUND

The video above is one of a series of pre-event videos featuring one of the Provar employees who would be attending Dreamforce that year. The goal was to personalize our presence and hopefully get customers and prospects to make a stop at Provar's booth one of the items on their Dreamforce agenda.

We also shot and released videos each day of Dreamforce to increase booth traffic and stand out on social media using footage from the event as it was happening. These videos included interviews with Dreamforce attendees about topics of interest to our ICP, and a recap of what happened at our booth each day to reinforce our messaging. Another video team member shot the videos on location and I edited them for same-day release.

Another video I created was featured at Provar's Dreamforce booth with the specific goal of standing out from the noise of such a big conference to draw in members of our ICP so they would talk to those working the Provar booth.

An example of a video shot, edited, and published to social media on the same day.

Another team member shot the footage at Dreamforce in San Francisco, and then uploaded the footage so that I could edit and finish the video in Nashville. I prepared the graphics package and music beforehand to make the quick turnaround possible. We completed 2-3 same day videos each day of the conference.

This is the main Provar booth video that showed both promo and demo content.

Its purpose was to grab attention and bring those within our ICP to the booth so we could start a conversation and capture the lead for follow-up. Along with the Directors of Marketing and Product Marketing I carefully chose the messaging, product benefits, statistics, and other featured information.

I also created a more detailed demo video for iPad playback, with chapters, which could be used by anyone working the booth to help them quickly answer product questions and let prospects see product demo content relevant to the conversation.

There was a retro video game theme to our presence at Dreamforce which started with the booth artwork design, and I carried it forward into all the video graphics as well.

To keep up the retro gaming fun, our development team created a playable retro game in the style of Space Invaders that let players use our pink astronaut mascot to zap bugs while they waited to talk to a Provar expert at the booth. I worked with the development team to optimize the game for the screen it would be played on, and I worked out a hardware and software solution to control the game with an LED mechanical keyboard as well as a more modern X-Box style game controller.
